Helem offers individual therapy sessions as part of its Mental Health Support Program for members of the community in its services center. As part of its commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of the community, Helem works with therapists specialized in supporting and addressing the mental and psychological needs of the LGBTQ community in Lebanon. Helem also refers applicants to entrusted inclusive organizations and individual service providers for other forms of mental health support including psychiatric aid, trauma healing, drama and art therapy, support groups, and other forms of support. About Our Protection & Services Center
Helem’s services center is a safe space for members of the community to receive quality, compassionate care and support for various challenges. A team of protection officers, mental health specialists, and other support staff provide highly specialized services for members of the community in distress at any point during opening hours and anytime through the emergency Hotline service. The services center is geared towards simultaneously aiding community members in overcoming obstacles and also thoroughly understanding those obstacles. The work of the center allows Helem to advocate for and with our community much more effectively and ethically.
